Whenever someone asks me about going to Mexico, I realize it is amazing the resorts and places I have gotten to visit and see! I love to help others travel to Mexico because if I haven’t been to the resort - I guarantee someone on my team has probably been there. With all of these resources, our first-hand advice on traveling to Mexico is a no brainer in my opinion.
Let’s start with one of the most popular areas - Cancun.
Most people will say they want to go to Cancun - and it is kind of like saying you want to go to Houston. There are many suburbs off of Houston, just like there are many smaller areas around Cancun. Let me break down the most popular areas of Mexico.
Cancun, Riviera Maya, Costa Mujeres, Playa Mujeres, Isla Mujeres, Playa Del Carmen, Riviera Maya, Akumal. There are many other areas - but these will be anywhere from 10 min from the airport to 2 hours from the airport. Making sure you choose the right hotel based on how long you want to travel when you arrive means you HAVE to be dependent on where the resort is located.
